From inside the OS: run sudo reboot or sudo shutdown -r now
From Phoenix: open your server from Services > Servers. In the action bar at the top right of the server’s page you’ll find a row of icon buttons (hover over any icon to see its name):
- Shutdown () – sends a graceful shutdown signal to the OS
- Boot () – powers the server on
- Power Off () – immediately cuts power; use this if a graceful shutdown doesn’t work
- Reset () – immediately resets the server
To reboot, click the Shutdown icon and wait a moment, then click the Boot icon. If it doesn’t come back, use Power Off and then Boot, or you can simply hit Reset. Each action asks you to confirm first.
If your VPS still won’t come up, use the console to fix whatever is preventing it from booting. Note that it is your responsibility to repair any broken configuration within your VPS.
