Custom Partitions

Your VPS comes provisioned with a simple layout: one root (/) partition using most of the disk, plus a swap partition roughly double the RAM size.

If you want a custom partition layout, you can install the OS yourself from an ISO and partition the disk however you like. Open your server from Services > Servers, then in the Advanced Configuration card:

  1. Under CD-ROM, choose your install ISO and click Load ISO.
  2. Under Boot Options, set Default Boot Device to CD-ROM (or turn on Boot Menu (15s delay) to pick the boot device at startup).
  3. Use the Boot () icon (in the action bar at the top right) to start the VPS, then click the Console () icon and run through the installer with your custom partitions.

When you’re done, set Default Boot Device back to 1st Hard Disk.

If you just want a clean machine rather than a custom layout, it’s simpler to delete the VPS and deploy a new one. See Re-install or change OS.
