For most customers, it’s the 1st day of every month. For customers who created new accounts after January 2022, the billing cycle starts on the day of the month on which your first service started.
For customers who created services after March 1, 2026, the launch of Phoenix, your billing cycle can vary, depending on whether you have on-demand services (hourly), converted them to reserved instances, or have a mixture of both.
